African American Long Hair Problem?

So my 13 year old wants long hair before she starts school again in a new state. The thing is she doesn't wants sew ins or extensions she actually wants her hair to be long(not down her back long but about shoulder length or other arm pit length). how can i help her or what can i do so she can get it because honestly it's getting on my nerves ,she practically cries about it at night.Can Some one please tell me on her or email me at sandra_d@ymail.com
